Società Amatori Cane Corso (SACC)

The Società Amatori Cane Corso (SACC) is an association of breeders and dog lovers founded on October 18, 1983, with the goal of recovering and safeguarding this splendid Italian breed. The efforts and passion for research and selection of its first founding members led to the recognition of the Italian Cane Corso as the 14th Italian Breed on January 20, 1994.

Today the SACC is a specialized association of the Italian National Kennel Club (ENCI) entrusted with the official protection of the breed and its aims are the study, valorization, genetic improvement of populations, increase and use of the Cane Corso.

British Cane Corso Society Enters Formal Affiliation Dialogue with Italy’s Società Amatori Cane Corso.

The British Cane Corso Society is proud to announce a landmark development for the breed in the United Kingdom: the formal recognition of affiliation, dialogue, and collaboration by the Società Amatori Cane Corso, the official custodians of the Cane Corso in its country of origin. This is the first time a British Cane Corso organisation has been acknowledged at this level by the Italian parent body. It represents a significant step forward for the breed in the UK, strengthening ethical stewardship and reinforcing international cooperation built on shared values.

In a recent written communication, the Board of Directors of the Società Amatori Cane Corso expressed their appreciation for the British Cane Corso Society’s vision and objectives. It renewed commitment to unity, transparency, and responsible representation of the breed. They confirmed their readiness to offer collaboration and support to the British Cane Corso Society, in full accordance with Article 2 of their Statute.

This recognition reflects a growing alignment between serious and responsible organisations working toward the same goal: the protection, correct representation, and long-term welfare of the Cane Corso.

The correspondence further emphasised the importance of constructive dialogue and joint work between credible breed organisations as an essential means of strengthening the Cane Corso internationally. It acknowledged that cooperation, rather than division, is vital to safeguarding the breed’s future and ensuring that its heritage, function, and identity are preserved without compromise.

As part of this developing relationship, the Società Amatori Cane Corso also expressed their hope to meet in person to explore areas and methods of collaboration further. Proposed opportunities include the World Dog Show 2026 in Bologna and the Raduno dell’Anno 2026 in Anagni, providing an important platform for continued dialogue at the highest level of the breed.

For the British Cane Corso Society, this development represents more than recognition. It is a validation of a clear direction and a principled stance. It confirms that integrity, openness, and breed-first leadership are not only necessary but respected beyond national borders.

This affiliation dialogue signals a new chapter for the Cane Corso in the United Kingdom. One built on cooperation rather than conflict, education rather than confusion, and long-term preservation rather than short-term trends.

The British Cane Corso Society remains committed to working transparently, responsibly, and collaboratively, confident that shared effort between aligned organisations can bring tangible benefits to the Cane Corso and to the wider canine community.

This is history in the making. And it has only just begun.

Cane Corso Association of America (CCAA)

The Cane Corso Association of America (CCAA) is the official American Kennel Club (AKC) Parent Breed Club for the Cane Corso in the United States of America.  The CCAA is dedicated to preserving the working ability, soundness and intelligence of the Cane Corso in its purest form.  The CCAA is the largest, most progressive Cane Corso Club in North America.  We strive to promote the Cane Corso in a positive way and educate the public on the Cane Corso.  The CCAA is a club where the advances of the breed are made in a civil, open platform in accordance with our constitution and the AKC's rules and regulations.  Compromise and working together as a unified group will allow us reach our goals of bettering the breed.  Every member of the CCAA is encouraged to get involved in Cane Corso activities and CCAA functions.  We welcome all newcomers to read through our site and get to know the Cane Corso breed.  The goal of the CCAA is to help you understand the Cane Corso better.

This marks another significant milestone in the club’s journey. Earlier this year, we established a relationship with the Società Amatori Cane Corso (SACC), an important and historic step for BCCS given the organisation’s roots within the breed’s country of origin. To now be building a connection with the CCAA continues that progress and reflects the direction the club is moving in.

To be recognised and approached by an established organisation such as the CCAA is something we genuinely appreciate, and we would like to thank their board for reaching out with a clear intention to work together.

From the outset, it has been clear that both organisations share the same core values. A strong focus on responsible ownership, education, and doing right by the breed sits at the centre of everything we do. Having that alignment makes this a natural and meaningful partnership to develop.

For us as a club, this goes beyond simply connecting with another organisation. It reflects the steady progress being made here in the UK and highlights the growing recognition of the work being put into building something structured, responsible, and breed-focused. It also opens the door to sharing knowledge, experience, and support on a wider scale, which can only benefit the Cane Corso moving forward.

While this collaboration is still in its early stages, the intention is clear. The aim is to build something that benefits members, encourages open knowledge sharing, and supports the long-term future of the breed.

We’re looking forward to developing this relationship further and will continue to keep our members updated as things progress.

Cane Corso Club Nederland (CCCN)

As a breed association, we have the task of safeguarding the welfare and health of the purebred Cane Corso in the Netherlands. Breeders affiliated with the association are therefore bound by strict breeding regulations in which the welfare and health of the parent animals are paramount.

After months of conversations, we’ve secured affiliation with the Cane Corso Club Nederland. For us, this comes down to one thing. Better information.

If we want to improve this breed, we have to start joining things up. This allows us to connect real data across clubs, not just within one group.

Hips, elbows, epilepsy, pedigrees, and patterns over time. Information that actually helps people make better decisions.

They’ve already shared crucial data with us that we can now start bringing to you all. Because too many are still working without seeing the full picture, and that’s where problems repeat.

Working with CCCN gives us a clearer view of what’s working and what isn’t. Not based on talk, based on evidence.

It also means we can guide people properly towards good dogs, good breeders, and better choices.

No noise. No politics. Just doing things properly.
