At the British Cane Corso Society, one of our biggest priorities is helping owners access the correct training advice and guidance for the Cane Corso breed. These dogs are intelligent, powerful, emotionally sensitive guardian breeds that require clear structure, proper socialisation, and responsible handling from an early age. After a good few months of conversations behind the scenes, we’re really pleased to say that BCCS is now officially affiliated with the Cane Corso Club Nederland (CCCN).

This marks another significant milestone in the club’s journey. Earlier this year, we established a relationship with the Società Amatori Cane Corso (SACC), an important and historic step for BCCS given the organisation’s roots within the breed’s country of origin. To now be building a connection with the CCAA continues that progress and reflects the direction the club is moving in.

Supporting the future of the Cane Corso does not always require large gestures. In many cases, it is the small, consistent actions that make the biggest difference over time. One of the simplest ways to support the work of the British Cane Corso Society (BCCS) is through a platform called EasyFundraising, a system that allows supporters to raise funds for the society while carrying out their normal online shopping.

The FCI standard for the Cane Corso states that pasterns should be elastic and slightly slopping, however in recent years hyperextension of the pasterns or weak pasterns has presented itself as a common fault within the breed. There are many factors which can contribute to weak pasterns including genetics, poor nutrition, growth stage, improper exercise or injuries.
