BCCS Publishes Its First Newsletter

The British Cane Corso Society has published its first newsletter, bringing together the story of our first six months and some of the people, projects and developments that have helped shape the Society since its launch in February 2026.

When the BCCS website officially launched on 14 February, we knew that building the Society would be about much more than simply creating another online presence for the Cane Corso. Our aim was to develop something useful: a place for education, responsible ownership, breed information and community, while gradually building relationships both within the UK and internationally.

A great deal has happened in a relatively short period of time.

Six Months of Progress

The first newsletter covers the period from February through to August 2026 and gives us an opportunity to look back at those first months properly. It brings together developments from across the Society, including the growth of our community, educational work, events and projects, as well as some of the international relationships that have begun to develop around the BCCS.

There has also been a considerable amount happening behind the scenes. Building useful resources, developing the website, creating new opportunities for owners and breeders and establishing relationships with others in the Cane Corso community all take time. Not everything can be captured in a social media post, and that is one of the reasons the newsletter is important.

It gives us somewhere to bring those different strands together and show members and supporters the wider picture.

More Than a List of Achievements

We don't want the BCCS newsletter simply to become a list of things we have done. Its purpose is also to explain why we are doing them.

Education, collaboration and access to reliable information sit at the heart of what the Society is trying to build. As the BCCS develops, we want our members and the wider Cane Corso community to be able to see that development, understand the thinking behind it and remain connected with the work taking place.

The newsletter gives us another way of doing exactly that. It also gives us the opportunity to recognise the people who contribute their time, experience and support to the Society. BCCS has grown through the involvement of its committee, members, supporters, collaborators and the wider community around it, and that deserves to be reflected.

Looking Ahead

This is our first newsletter, but it certainly won't be our last. Future editions will continue to bring together important BCCS news, community developments, educational projects, international activity and a look at what is coming next.

The website itself will continue to grow too. New articles, resources and projects are being developed as we work towards creating an increasingly useful source of Cane Corso information for owners, breeders and enthusiasts.
